A bookmark manager for researchers: keep your sources, ask across them

Kajr gives researchers one library for papers, PDFs, web sources and videos, then answers questions across all of it with citations to the saves it used. The library stays on your device; only the text relevant to a question is sent for processing.

Sources arrive faster than you can read them

A literature search produces a stream of papers, preprints, reports, blog posts and talks. Filing them into folders rewards the moment you saved them, not the moment you need them. A summary, tags and a quality score on arrival help you triage the pile.

Ask across the whole pile

Once sources are in, you can ask which ones disagree, what methods they use, or which mention a particular term, and Kajr shows the saves each answer was drawn from. It is a fast way back to the passage you half remember, not a replacement for reading the paper.

Think before you upload unpublished work

Your library is stored on your device. When you ask a question, the relevant text is sent to a cloud AI provider to generate the answer. If material is covered by a confidentiality agreement, check your institution's rules before using any AI tool on it.

Where a reference manager is still the right tool

Kajr is not a citation manager. If you need formatted bibliographies and citation export, use a reference manager such as Zotero alongside it. Kajr can sync your library to your own Google Drive and export it to a file, Excel or a Chrome bookmarks file.

Questions you can ask Kajr

  • Which of my saved papers disagree about sample size requirements?
  • What methods do my saved sources use to measure user retention?
  • Which saves mention replication and haven't I read yet?
  • Summarize the main claim of each source I saved about sleep and memory.

Frequently asked questions

Can Kajr replace Zotero?

No. Kajr helps you keep and question your sources; it does not manage citations or export bibliographies. Many people will use both.

Does Kajr store my PDFs in the cloud?

No. Kajr keeps your library on your device and does not maintain a cloud copy of it. When you ask a question, the relevant text is sent to a cloud AI provider to generate the answer.

Can I trust the summaries?

Treat them as a map, not the territory. Summaries and answers can miss nuance, so open the cited save to check the original before you rely on it.
