Kajr Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 8, 2026

Kajr ("Kajr", "we", "us", or "our") is a privacy-first bookmark and personal knowledge application.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Kajr application and related services.

Kajr is designed around a simple principle:

Your library belongs to you and stays on your device.

Kajr does not require an account and does not collect your name, email address, or other identity information.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect personal identity information.

Kajr does not require you to provide:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Account credentials
  • Password
  • Profile information
  • Home address
  • Date of birth
  • Payment information

Kajr does not require account registration or authentication to use the application.

2. Your Kajr Library

Kajr allows you to save and organize personal content, including:

  • Bookmarks
  • URLs
  • Articles
  • Web pages
  • YouTube links
  • Reddit links
  • PDFs
  • Images
  • Text
  • Notes
  • Highlights
  • Tags
  • Collections
  • Folders
  • Favorites
  • Reading progress

This information is stored locally on your device.

Kajr does not maintain a cloud database containing your personal bookmark library.

Your device is the primary source of truth for your Kajr library.

3. No Cloud Storage or Synchronization

Kajr does not currently provide cloud storage or synchronization of your personal library.

Your bookmarks, collections, folders, notes, highlights, and other library data remain on your device.

Kajr does not automatically upload your complete library to a Kajr server.

If you delete Kajr, clear its application data, lose your device, or otherwise remove locally stored data, that information may be permanently lost.

4. Cloud AI Processing

Kajr uses cloud-based AI to provide certain intelligent features.

These features may include:

  • Summarization
  • Content analysis
  • Categorization
  • Tag generation
  • Keyword extraction
  • Concept extraction
  • Priority scoring
  • Content scoring
  • Semantic representations
  • AI search
  • AI chat

When you use an AI feature, the information required to perform that operation may be sent to the cloud AI provider.

For example, when Kajr analyzes a bookmark, relevant content may be sent to the AI provider so the AI can generate a summary, tags, category, or other analysis.

When you ask a question about your library, Kajr can first retrieve relevant information locally and then send the relevant context to the AI provider to generate an answer.

Kajr does not send your entire library to the cloud simply because you use Kajr.

Only information required for the requested AI operation is intended to be transmitted.

5. AI Provider

Kajr may use third-party cloud AI infrastructure to process AI requests.

The AI provider may receive information necessary to perform the requested operation, such as:

  • Text being analyzed
  • Relevant bookmark content
  • AI prompts
  • Questions
  • Retrieved context
  • Information required to generate an AI response

The AI provider's own privacy policy and terms may apply to information processed through its services.

Kajr does not control the policies or practices of third-party AI providers.

Before publishing this policy, Kajr should identify the specific AI provider used by the application.

6. AI-Generated Data

AI-generated information may include:

  • Summaries
  • Tags
  • Categories
  • Keywords
  • Concepts
  • Scores
  • Reading-time estimates
  • Other metadata

Kajr stores these results locally on your device.

Kajr does not maintain a cloud copy of your AI-generated bookmark analysis as part of its application database.

7. Search and Semantic Search

Kajr can provide keyword and semantic search over your library.

Search and retrieval are designed to operate using data stored locally on your device.

Your entire library does not need to be uploaded to a cloud database to search it.

For AI-powered search or AI chat, relevant search results may be sent to the cloud AI provider as described in the Cloud AI Processing section.

8. Device and Technical Information

Kajr itself does not require personal identity information.

However, the operating system, app stores, or third-party services used by Kajr may provide limited technical information necessary to operate, secure, or diagnose the application.

Depending on the platform and services used, this may include information such as:

  • Device model
  • Operating system version
  • Application version
  • Crash information
  • Diagnostic information
  • IP address
  • General technical information

The exact information available to Kajr may depend on the platform and third-party services used.

9. Analytics

Kajr may use privacy-conscious analytics or crash-reporting services to understand application performance and identify technical problems.

If analytics are enabled, they are intended to help us understand things such as:

  • Crashes
  • Application errors
  • Performance
  • General feature usage
  • Technical reliability

Kajr does not use analytics to identify you by name or email.

Kajr does not use the contents of your personal library for advertising profiles.

If analytics or crash-reporting providers are introduced, this Privacy Policy may be updated to identify them and describe their processing practices.

10. Advertising

Kajr does not sell your personal information.

Kajr does not use your saved bookmarks, notes, reading history, or library contents to create advertising profiles.

If advertising is introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated before such processing begins where required by applicable law.

11. Information Sharing

Kajr does not sell or rent your personal information.

Information may only be transmitted to third-party services when reasonably necessary to provide functionality that you use.

This may include:

  • Cloud AI processing
  • Crash reporting
  • Application diagnostics
  • Analytics, if enabled
  • Other technical services required to operate Kajr

Kajr does not provide third parties with your complete personal library for their own independent use.

12. Third-Party Websites

Kajr allows you to save and open links to third-party websites.

Kajr does not control those websites.

When you visit an external website through a saved bookmark, that website may collect information according to its own privacy policy.

We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of websites and services you visit.

13. Data Security

Kajr is designed to keep your personal library on your device.

We use reasonable technical measures to protect the application and information handled by our services.

However, no electronic storage system or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are also responsible for protecting the device on which your Kajr library is stored.

We recommend using:

  • A device passcode
  • Device encryption
  • Biometric authentication where available
  • Up-to-date operating-system software
  • The latest version of Kajr

14. Data Deletion

Because Kajr stores your library locally, you can generally delete your information directly from the application or your device.

Depending on the platform, deleting the application or clearing its application data may permanently delete your local Kajr library.

Kajr does not require an account, so there is no Kajr account database containing your personal profile that needs to be deleted.

Information processed by third-party AI or technical service providers may be subject to those providers' applicable retention and deletion policies.

15. Children's Privacy

Kajr does not knowingly collect personal identity information from children.

The Service should not be used by children where doing so would violate applicable laws or age requirements.

If you believe that information has been collected in violation of applicable law, please contact us.

16. International Processing

Cloud AI and other third-party services used by Kajr may process information in countries other than your own.

When you use a feature that requires cloud processing, the relevant information may therefore be transferred internationally.

Where required by applicable law, appropriate safeguards will be used for such transfers.

17. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights relating to personal information processed by Kajr or its service providers.

These rights may include:

  • Access
  • Correction
  • Deletion
  • Restriction of processing
  • Objection to processing
  • Data portability
  • Withdrawal of consent where applicable

Because Kajr does not require an account and stores the majority of your library locally, many types of data can be managed directly from your device.

18. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Kajr's features, technology, or legal requirements change.

If we make material changes to how information is collected or processed, we will take reasonable steps to notify users where required by applicable law.

The "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy indicates when it was most recently updated.
